Big Apple ~Donuts&Coffee~

The company established in Malaysia on 2nd of May 2007. The first opening of its first store at The Curve. One of my friend asking whether J.CO donuts is longer than Big Apple or on the other way, and here is some history of J.CO donuts. J.CO donuts is actually from a bakery retailer in Indonesia. The company is began trading in 26th June 2005 in Indonesia. In Malaysia, began with the first opeening at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with the opening of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 20th September 2007 and subsequently in Sunway Piramid. There has been a plagiarism about the trademark of J.CO and all its menus by a Malaysian-born Big Apple Donuts&Coffee. The Big Apple were created in 2nd May 2007, and are 99% similar to J.CO in terms of products & it's packaging. From my point of view, I guess those young entrepreneurs get some idea of J.CO donut while visiting Indonesia and back to Malaysia to have some concept of donuts that's why began of the Big Apple. Anyway, both also have a great business of Donut's Concept but we have forgot another oldies of Donut store which is Dunkin' Donut, where are you Dunkin' Donut???

Went there with my old friend and thought can taste nice and tasty Japanese food but really don't know how to express my feeling about this time. I called back to YUZU one day after i've been there and talk to the manager regarding the Hotate Aburiya was really bad and some how the price is differ from the last time price, the manager from YUZU telling me that now is the best season of Hotate Aburiya and so call fresh but the taste is sour and the Hotate size was much smaller than last time.
To review back my last time at YUZU please scrool down and view back to YUZU at bottom. TQ

What Makes You Go Often?

For me?

1st: Good Service & Management
2nd: Environment
3rd: Food [ Nice and Awesome]
4th: Price

Good service and a good team of management give consumer a pleasure moment and enjoy during eating. While environment should be good in all the point of view. Third, come to food should be good in taste and vary for choices. Fourth, if the food is awesome, then price is not the matter of matter.

Those I go more than twice :

1st: The C. Club Pavilion

2nd: Silk Road Pavilion

3rd: KAMEYA Japanese Restaurant&Pub Bukit Bintang

4th: The Loaf Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

5th: Dain Ti Hill Pavilion

6th: Nan Xiang Mantou Dian, The Curve

Spaghetti Con Moecche- Softshell crab with spaghetti, it seem like not mature crab cook with spaghetti, need some improvement on this dishes. The softshell crab for me is not nice.

Salisbury Shiraz Carbernet- Wine Vintage 2004 Australia, just fine...

Tiramisu- Need improvement, too much cream, inside was too soft, cannot taste the feel of a nice tiramisu.

Service Charge : 10% = RM7.00

Total : RM77.00

Comment : The lot of this restaurant was actually Nan Xian Mantou Dian planning to open here but suddenly don't know what happen didn't open and then took over by Italian On Sixth. So, outside was great even inside was great too. Sadly to say that, it just open for one month plus, the menu was seem old and not as grand as I thought. Should improve a bit, even the writing on the menu was full of writing and no any picture of the food. Sad... Well, the starter was nice and the prawn was fresh. Main course, hope can improve more on it because some of the mussels was not well clean which still got a lot of "sand". Others was good, and the vine that assistant manager recommended was nice. Lastly, learn more from C. Club to improve more on your dishes.

Comment on lamb loin –medium-: I think this is the meat that where I never had so nice before where, fantastic accompany with red wine.

Comment on lobster spaghetti: The lobster meat was fresh where..(partner taste it)

Comment on Yoghurt Panna Pudding: This desert was actually quite simple, but is give us a taste of smoothie, but it also have a incorrect combination where on top on the pudding if don’t have nut will be better or change something juicy or creamy stuff.

Comment on Malibu: No comment ( was tasted by partner, she said was just fine )

Comment on Red wine : I’m not sure what point will give by wine spectrometer, but this wine was quite fragrant, red ruby in color, and is nice.

Comment: The first impression at this restaurant give me was nice but after taste the food inside there was just ordinary where certain food was nice for example the claypot taufu and the fried fish chip with the sauce. For the desert please take note that for the Avocado cream pudding was very low grade which I think that is a failure mixture of "gui ling go+mango+lok yau+sago". Seriously not my taste which i have to use the word awful. Sorry for that but that is true for a desert that printed extreme size and recomended as well inside your menu. Oh ya, if can please be request that people who take order have to be know how to promoting the food and explain to customer which is suitable and not.

Experience the Real World of Life

What is so great when a captain of a restaurant looking down to their customer that come inside to have their lunch? Truly it is really unintelligent I would like to say to the captain who did that. This is what I heard from a person that really close to me and if really have chance I would like to go to that restaurant and see how great is the captain handling and serving his guest. Today I did my second experience the real world of life where I went to a restaurant and I have order quite a lot of portion of food which I quite satisfy with their service, if giving a chance for me to grade their service on serving the guest, I would give B+. So I’m sure you all want to know what food that I have order for my lunch right?

1st. Wanton Mee Dry – RM13.04

2nd Chee Cheong Fun – RM6. 95

3rd Gelato 1 Scoop (apple flavor) – RM5.22

4th Ambra Sour Plum Ice – RM8.26

5th Warm Water – RM0.87

· 5% Government Tax – RM1.72
· Service Charge – RM3.43

Total: RM39.50

For a lunch which I spent RM39.50 which was not reliable but is worth in many aspect of life.

Comment on food:

1st – was just nice but compare to outside was still far away to go, the wanton is nice, just the price of the 1st menu was not reliable, I would like to spent on this 1st RM9.90.

2nd –was good and taste nice to eat, price was reliable
3rd –one scoop of gelato cost RM5.22? not reliable which was not that nice but can
improve more if they didn’t put the dry grapes on the gelato.

4th –this drink which I first time try it, was nice and the taste was good
5th –warm water RM0.87 is reliable for a restaurant at The Gardens.
Overall:

This restaurant can improve more in their perception concept of their stalls because now their style is like just a high class food court and not really a restaurant style just their service and outside appearance was just a restaurant and can improve more. Keep in up and work harder “Gurney Drive”.
